Privacy
Your information, handled with care.
What we collect, why, and who sees it. The short version: we never sell your information. Last updated October 30, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how White Rock Digital ("WRD," "we" or "us") handles information from this website and from the services we provide. By using the site, you agree to this policy.
Information you give us
- When you contact us. What you type into a form so we can reply and understand what you need, such as your name, business name, website, phone, email, how you'd like to be contacted, the services you're interested in and your message.
- When you become a client. What we need to do the work and bill for it, such as billing contacts, business details, content and photos for your site, and any account access you choose to share with us.
- When you pay. Payments go through Stripe or your bank. We get a note that you paid, but we never see or store your full card or bank account numbers.
- When you use a chat assistant. If our site, or a client's site we run, has an AI chat assistant, what you type into it and any contact details you share there (see "Chat assistants" below).
Information collected automatically
Basic visit records. Like nearly every website, the company that hosts this site automatically records basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address (your connection's internet address), browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that sent you here, and the date and time. This keeps the site running and secure.
Fonts. The site's fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
Cookies and browser storage. We only use browser storage to remember small choices, like whether you prefer light or dark mode. We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't currently use an analytics tool. If we add one later, we'll list it here first. You can clear or block cookies and browser storage in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
How we use it
- To reply to you, figure out which services fit your business, and prepare quotes or a free consultation.
- To do the work you hire us for and keep you updated on your project.
- To send invoices, take payments and keep the business and tax records the law requires.
- To fix problems and make the site better.
- To protect the site, our clients and ourselves from fraud, spam and misuse.
Who we share it with
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't use it for targeted ads. We share it only in these cases:
- Companies that help us run the business. Our website host and form service (Netlify), email (Google Workspace), payments (Stripe), domain settings (Cloudflare), our AI assistant platform and the AI companies that power it, the texting service (Twilio) and automation tool (Zapier) that send review-request texts, and our review-display tool. Each one gets only what it needs to do its job.
- Legal reasons. When we honestly believe a law, court order or legal process requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our clients, the public or White Rock Digital.
- If the business changes hands. If White Rock Digital is ever merged or sold, this policy would keep protecting your information.
- When you ask us to. Any time you ask us to share something.
Emails and text messages
If you contact us or become a client, we may email, call or text you about your question or project. We only text you if you gave us your number and agreed to be texted. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, or HELP for help. We never share mobile numbers or texting permission with anyone else for their marketing. Any marketing email we send has an easy unsubscribe link.
Chat assistants
Our chat assistants are AI, not people, and they're labeled that way. What you type is processed by our AI assistant platform and the AI companies that power it so the assistant can reply. Chats are saved in our AI assistant account so the business can see new leads and we can check and improve the answers. If you leave your name, phone or email in a chat, it's sent to the business that runs that website so they can get back to you. Please don't type sensitive information like card numbers, passwords or health details into a chat.
Information we handle for our clients
Some services, like review requests, AI assistants and contact forms on client websites, involve information about our clients' own customers, such as a name, phone number or email for a review request, or a chat on the client's site. We handle that information for our client and use it only to provide the service. We keep it while the client's plan is active and delete it within 90 days after the plan ends, unless the client asks for a copy first or the law requires us to keep it. The client's own privacy policy covers how they use it, so questions should go to that business first.
Review-request texts
When a business that hires us finishes a job, it may give us the customer's first name, mobile number and the job date so we can send one text asking for a Google review. These texts are sent through Twilio, a texting service, and Zapier, a tool that passes the details from the business's job list to Twilio. Each one gets only what it needs to send the text. We only text customers the business says agreed to get texts from it, and only between 9 am and 8 pm.
Reply STOP to any of these texts to stop them, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. We send one review request per job, not a series of reminders.
We never sell mobile numbers, and we never share mobile numbers or texting permission with anyone for their own marketing. The numbers are used only to send the texts described here and are deleted on the 90-day schedule above.
How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards to keep your information safe, including secure (encrypted) connections, trusted providers, strong passwords, two-step sign-in and limited access. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your personal information, we'll tell you as Texas law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep messages you send us only as long as they're useful for talking with you. Client records are kept while we work together and afterward as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting reasons. Chats and review-request contacts for client sites follow the 90-day rule above.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we have about you, and we'll answer within 45 days. We may need to keep some records to follow the law. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time. We'll need to confirm it's really you before acting on a request, and we won't treat you differently for asking. If we say no to a request, you can ask us to look at it again by replying to our answer.
Where your information is stored
White Rock Digital is based in Texas, and the companies we use store information mainly in the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information will be handled here.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Other websites
Our site links to other websites, including our clients' sites and the website templates in our portfolio. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new "last updated" date.
