Why choose us
Find the fault. Fix it once.
Dana Whitfield founded the company in 2012 after years of fixing other contractors' callbacks. Every one of our electricians carries a thermal camera and a megohmmeter, and no job closes until the circuit tests clean.
Fault found before we quote
We test until we know the cause, so you pay for one fix instead of three guesses.
Flat-rate, $0 trip fee
The price is written down before work starts. It doesn't change if the job runs long.
Licensed, permitted, inspected
Master electricians on every crew. We pull the permit and meet the inspector.
Stocked for a one-visit fix
Each van carries breakers for every major panel brand, so most repairs finish today.

Our kitchen breaker tripped every time the microwave ran. Luis found a melted backstab connection two outlets down, fixed it in 40 minutes and showed me the burned wire.

They did the LED retrofit on two of our warehouses over a weekend. No downtime, and lighting costs dropped by almost half the first month.
FAQ
Straight answers.
Not sure if it's urgent? Call us. A licensed electrician will tell you over the phone whether it can wait.
Yes. Repair visits during business hours have no trip or diagnostic charge anywhere in our service area. Nights and Sundays carry a $129 after-hours fee, which Safe Home members never pay.
When is an electrical problem an emergency?
Call right away for burning smells, sparks, a hot or buzzing panel, partial power loss, or any outlet that's warm to the touch. If you see smoke or flames, leave and call 911 first.
Do I need to replace my Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel?
Federal Pacific Stab-Lok and Zinsco breakers have a well-documented history of failing to trip under overload. We recommend replacement, and many insurers require it before renewing a policy.
Can my panel handle an EV charger?
Most 200A panels can. We run a load calculation first. If your panel is short on capacity, a load-sharing device or a smaller charger setting often avoids an upgrade.
Do you pull permits?
Yes. We pull permits with the City of Austin and surrounding cities, schedule the inspection and coordinate meter pulls with Austin Energy or Oncor.
What warranty do you offer?
Every job carries a 5-year workmanship warranty, plus the manufacturer's warranty on parts and equipment.
